Hotels in review - Shenzhen Sheraton

In Shenzhen we're staying at the Sheraton. When I think of a Sheraton I think of a gimmicky castle hotel from back home - but that's not the case here at all. This hotel is very modern with a really nice bathroom and bed. It also has a hidden door closet, which took me about 15 minutes to discover. Also, I found the watermark option when exporting pictures from Picasa, hence the name in the bottom right corners.

Hotels - Dongcheng International

My hotel in Dongguan was the Dongcheng International. I actually got the exact same room as last trip, and the same layout as every trip. This actually helps make it feel a little bit more like a home away from home. The room is very large - with a walk-in closet, huge bathroom, and couch - and it's honestly about as big as my condo.

Day 4 - Dongguan/Teppenyaki

My card reader is down, so I'll post pictures here later if possible.

Needless to say, we spent another day in Dongguan and got a fair amount of work done. Later we went to a final dinner at my favorite Japanese Teppanyaki place - and we even had the same chef as last time! Pyatt asked me who to 'challenge' with sake shots, so I told him Eric (who I challenged last time). Every time he challenged Eric, Eric would challenge me, so it resulted in a 3-way sake shot - cam pei!

Day 3 - Dongguan

Spent today working, and then went to dinner at a Brazilian steakhouse - honestly. Afterwards Denbo, Rich, and I went for 1 hour massages costing $6 each- purely innocent.
Below is some broken English from the buffet stand at dinner.

And Denbo having a great time shaking a maraca.

Day 2 - continued

Rich and I walked around Dongguan for a couple of hours. Here are some snapshots of our journey.
Our hotel, the Dongcheng International Hotel.

Here is some poorly translated English.

And a nice Bose knockoff company.

And finally, a Starbucks under construction with Bamboo scaffolding.

Day 2 - Dongguan

Worked today from about 9:00-6:00, with a nice lunch in between. Tomorrow I'll be working at the same company, hopefully accomplishing as much as we did today.
Here is everyone at lunch today.
Some Peking Duck (my favorite):
And some jellyfish (my least favorite):

Day 1 - Arrival in Dongguan

After 26 hours of travel (left my house at 4am Monday, arrived at 5:45pm Tuesday) I'm safely in my hotel room.
The flight was nicer than United because of the fold-flat pods on Cathay pacific:
We had dinner until about 8pm, and then Pyatt and I went to Walmart because I needed a few things (razor, deoderant, etc).
We also scored some DVDs and I got a camera backpack (basically). All in all, a good first day.

Here's a picture of Pyatt with a whole chicken for sale at Walmart for about $2.
And here is a smoked pig face for sale at Walmart. They sell EVERYTHING there.
